BRIDGEFIELD PARKWAY RESERVE

Public BBQ

Bridgefield Parkway Reserve presents itself as a delightfully unassuming family destination near Rockbank train station. The playground equipment proves substantial enough to engage children across various age groups, while the rolling hills provide natural entertainment for youngsters who delight in scrambling up gentle slopes. The BBQ facilities are well-positioned and functional, making this an appealing spot for family gatherings. The reserve offers generous open space that rarely feels crowded, even during public holidays. However, the location's most glaring shortcoming becomes apparent quickly - the complete absence of public toilets. This oversight forces families into strategic planning, requiring pre-visit facilities stops. While the playground equipment generally impresses, some elements could benefit from updates. The setting particularly shines during warmer months when the combination of barbecue facilities and expansive grounds creates an ideal environment for leisurely family outings, provided one plans accordingly for the toilet situation.
